A Rhino is a strong animal. Who has endurance to go out and get anything he wants.
A Rhino has thick skin. And doesn’t care one bit when someone says something to squash her dreams or dissuade her from creating a better life.
A Rhino sees opportunity all around, and charges toward his goals.
A Rhino doesn’t stop if she misses her target. She just keeps going until she gets it.
A Rhino blazes his own path, no matter what’s in the way. And never follows “the herd.”
A Rhino is not fine with living like a Cow.
So it does not live like a Cow.
It lives the Rhino Life.
Then there are the Cows…
A Cow just goes with the herd.
A Cow doesn’t do much, but stand there, eat and sleep.
A Cow watches as life passes them by.
A Cow’s life is the same day in and day out.
Because the Cow is fine with that.
Now, do you think you are a Cow, or are you a Rhino?
It all depends on how you see life.
If you’re fine with sitting on the couch, eating chips and watching TV tonight… again…
And if you’ve worn out the snooze button on your alarm clock…
You are probably a Cow. And there’s nothing wrong with that, if that’s who you are.
But, if you look at what’s on TV and think “This is a total waste of time…” then may be a Rhino in the making.
My Waiternomics teachings are not for everyone. And I’m fine with that.
Because I know most of the world will never take action to become their own boss. To live life on their terms. To follow their dreams.
And they most certainly won’t make the effort to start a home business “on the side” while they are still employed at their job. So they can build it and set themselves up to Escape the Employee Trap for good.
And that’s okay.
What’s great is that you are reading this blog post today.
That means you have what it takes to become a “Rhino in Training.” If you’re not a full-blown Rhino already.
And I commend you for taking the time to read this.
Instead of heading for the couch, and turning on a 5-year old repeat of Two and a Half Men.
Instead of parking on the couch to get a daily dose of everything in the world that’s bad… from your favorite purveyor of “news”… that solely exists to sell advertising. Not to make the world a better place.
It’s not news when someone else gets in a car accident.
And it’s not news when someone loses their life. It happens every day.
And one person’s life is no more “newsworthy” than anyone else’s.
Everyone’s lives are precious.
Your’s too. And it’s equally sad whenever anyone loses their life, or gets into a bad car accident.
I wrote this for you today to make you think.
About what life is like as a “Cow” and a “Rhino.”
(Of course taking a bit of liberty with this metaphor
And to remind you that life is precious.
And life IS what you make it.
You can decide right now whether you’re fine living like a Cow…
Or if you know in your heart that “the Rhino Life” is for you.
So take a few minutes to do some serious thinking.
And charge on, my friend.
Until next time…
