Quitting With The Finish Line In Sight

Whether you’re a fan of auto racing, the Olympics, or any kind of team sports… you would think this is pretty messed up if you witnessed it yourself…

Quitting with the Finish Line in sight.

Can you imagine a race car driver spending all afternoon driving around the track at nearly 200 mph… then pulling over to the side in the last lap… with the finish line in sight… letting everyone else pass by?

Well that’s exactly what happens when you set a big goal for yourself… like setting yourself up to Escape the Employee Trap so you can create the life you want to live…

Working hard and focusing like crazy, keeping your big goal in mind the entire time, working for weeks, months, even years to create a better life for yourself…

And then decide you’ve had enough.

And let the life you really wanted to live pass you by.

I know this sounds unbelievable. Why would anyone do this to themselves and their family? After all the hard work they put in?

Well it happens every day. And it’s just as silly as a race car driver or an Olympic runner stopping just short of the finish line.

The fact is, most people who quit on their dreams and goals don’t realize one critically important thing. That if you’ve put in the time and effort, but still aren’t seeing the results you want…

You are most likely on the verge of going from where you are now, to where you want to be.

In most cases, all you need is the right coaching from the right person (with a track record of doing what you want to do) to get you over that one big obstacle. That one big sticking point in your head that has you stuck, just as you start down “the home stretch” to getting what you want.

I really hate to see this happen to deserving people. Because it just doesn’t have to be this way.

If you have a dream, stick with it. If the going gets tough now and then, suck it up and push through it. Your tenacity and pig-headed determination WILL pay off in the long run.

Lord knows I’ve had my ups and downs through the years. And if I quit when times looked bleak, I would not be where I am today. I would still be stuck in The Employee Trap.

So if you’re determination is waning, if you’re getting yourself down listening to what others are saying about your “dreams” and goals, stand strong.

And get some help. Some of the biggest names in business and sports rely on coaches to keep them on track.

So they don’t quit with the finish line in sight.

I’d like you to think about this conversation today.

And remember it whenever you’re feeling down about your progress. When you can’t seem to keep your mind on the “big picture”…

Escaping the Employee Trap, so you can create the life you want to live.

Seriously, do you really want to live your life on someone else’s terms?

Or do you want to start living life on your own terms?

I think the choice is easy. Choose wisely my friend.

Until next time…

Profits are better than wages,

Martin
